Luna Park opened last year as part of an effort to revialitze Coney Island and bring jobs to the area. The park has 19 new rides as well as games and cafes for people to enjoy. I went during the month of July for a Military Appreciation promotion and had a great time riding rides, walking on the boardwalk, eating pizza, and sipping Pina Coladas. We didn’t have time to hit the beach, but I’m planning on making at least one more trip out there before summer is over.
From August 8th to September 1st they are doing a promotion for NYC residents to come out and represent their boroughs. Each person showing valid NYC identification can purchase a 4 hour ride wristband for $13 instead of $26. The Scream Zone and The Cyclone are not included in the wristband
