August 17th

  • Take a drive down to Atlantic City for the Atlantic City Air Show, 10am – 5pm
  • Mars Attacks is showing on Pier I
  • The Town is showing on Pier 63’s lawn
  • Tangled is showing in Hoboken, NJ on Pier A

August 18th

  • Rosemary’s Baby is showing at Tompkins Square Park
  • Crooklyn in showing at Brooklyn Bridge Park
  • Lincoln Center Targt Free Thursdays Presents: Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys
  • Staten Island Starlight Concert Series: Featuring Charisma and Vintage Bliss at the Alice Austen House from 8-10pm

August 19th

  • Jurrasic Park is showing on the Intrepid
  • Tangled is showing on Pier 45
  • Uptown Fridays @ the Studio Museum in Harlem from 6-9pm. Enjoy free admission, music, signature cocktails, drink specials and current exhibitions.

August 20th

  • NYC Summer Streets; hosted by NYC DOT and its partners they will temporarily close Park Avenue and connecting streets from the Brooklyn Bridge to Central Park to motor vehicles and open it up to people . This opprotunity will allow people to freely run, play, bike, walk, and people watch in the streets from 7am – 1pm. Click on the link for more details.
  • The 6th Bi-Annual Jazz Age Lawn Party on Governors Island from 11am – 5pm, $7 in advance at www.dreamlandorchestra.com or $10 at the door. Think Great Gatsby and get dressed up in 1920s attire to celebrate the Roaring 20s!

August 21st

  • NYLaughs.org presents: Laughter in the Park from 2-4pm in Tompkins Square Park at the old band shell located between avenues A and B, enter via the middle of E. 7th St. This is the last show for the summer so get out and enjoy some free comedy in the park!
