Hudson River Flicks 2011 for Grown-Ups: The Town

Last night I had a chance to watch The Town on Pier 63’s lawn. This was the first movie I’ve seen at Pier 63 this summer and I wish that I would have had the opportunity to see more, but there’s always next summer.

We arrived early to ensure that we had a good spot, and brought along our picnic blanket and some snacks to enjoy while we waited for the movie to begin. Before the popcorn line got too long  we picked up our free bags and got settled in just as the movie began around 9pm.

It was a really good night for watching a movie outside. I completely forgot to bring an extra blanket and bug spray, but the cool breeze as we lay on the lawn watching the movie was a perfect end to a warm day and I managed to walk away with no mosquito bites. Yay!

The last movie of the summer season on the Hudson is Tangled and will be held at Pier 46 on Friday, August 19 at approx 8:30pm.
