Bridget O’Brien began her career as a teacher in a NYC Public School in the Bronx. While teaching she founded a PR and Events Firm that she ran while working full time as a second grade teacher. The business met much success and led to Bridget’s continuous involvement in many forms of charity work. Bridget became one of the premiere charity organizers and publicists in NYC as well as helping launch careers and brands of many first class individuals and establishments. In 2010, Bridget decided to take leave from teaching and dedicate her time to her newborn daughter, Bridget O’Brien PR and Events Firm, and vast forms of charity work.
Tiffany Troiano works on Wall Street and runs the online designer consignment boutique called The NYC Fashionista (thenycfashionista.com) that sells ‘secondhand designer fashion for first class people.’ Founded in 2010, the boutique offers new and gently used fashion forward designer pieces and provides a great alternative to making extra money on items that are no longer used. Tiffany has leveraged her business model to partner with charities to host successful events such as the recent ‘Fashionistas for Philanthropy’ event held at Goldbar NYC in June 2011.
After attending countless cocktail parties and social functions over the years on the NY social scene it dawned on Bridget that if the people attending such events could focus their time and financial resources on having a good time as well as doing good for others so many people could benefit. She shared these ideas with Tiffany and soon Cocktails That Care was born. Over the years Bridget and Tiffany’s tireless charity work has benefited many people in need. The two women and their board of directors are committed to creating amazing, entertaining, top notch events for attendees that will generate great revenue for whichever charitable organization they donate to.
