Travel Fashion Guide: Jet-setting to Miami

Hey travelers… and fashionistas :)

I hope you all enjoyed your week at the beach… I know everyone looked amazing!!

This week, we are definitely going to hang out at the beach… and not just any beach….SOUTH BEACH… “party in the city where the heat is on… all night on the beach till the break of dawn…. I’m going to Miami…welcome to Miami” -will smith (swoon)

WHOOOO HOOOO!!! Monday, I’m flying to South Beach for a business trip and I need all the looks I can fit in a suitcase!! Being there for business, doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy my 3 day adventure. Some essentials other than my business attire are definitely a must for Miami. Miami is truly rising in the fashion industry, as a fashion destination, in the world.

When flying, although you want to remain comfortable, still looking fashionable is such an easy task. My “plane” look features a1990s grunge look with a touch of today’s trends.

My comfy Beatles band tee and a stylish pair of ripped up, vintage denim shorts is a perfect outfit to wear on the plane, simple, yet so cute. The perfect shoe… my old faithful…spiked, high top Chucks. (YES!) Adding my black thick framed glasses and a white fedora just mixes it all up. The Chanel tote makes for a great carry on and a touch of couture (always pop one name brand into an outfit to really stand out).

Of course one of the main things to do in Miami is hit up the beach and get a tan. Sitting in the sand reading the “The Great Gatsby”, wearing a black bathing suit bottom and mix matching it with a coral, fringe top really shows off this years trends, without leaving those dreaded tan lines on your shoulders. Accompanied by Juicy Couture velour shorts to have for when you want to walk around, and a Juicy Couture “beach inspired” iPhone case for the trip. A must have at the beach: sunglasses. A pair of vintage, round eye sunglasses is the perfect finish to get a great tan while enjoying the ocean.

Oh, we can’t forget our night outfit for after work dinner and drinks.

Black, black, black… you can NEVER go wrong with black. For dinner at the beginning of the night, grab your sexy little black dress and pair it with a studded, leather jacket for a more stylish look at dinner before you go hit the club later. Take the jacket off later to show off your dress and give you room to dance.  A studded Michael Kors wristlet to hold onto all of your things is a perfect matching accessory to keep everything together all night. A smokey, dark eye…some curls and Givenchy strappy stilettos is the perfect outfit for a night out on the town. You don’t even have to worry about any jewelry, just the statement pieces we’ve chosen here and you’ll be set.

Thanks for helping me pack… I’m all set and ready to go!! Make sure to follow me on Twitter @missblackseries to catch all the Miami fun this week…

until the next time….
