Travel Fashion Guide: Set Sail This Summer

hey travelers…. and fashionistas :)

Didn’t we look soooooo fabulous last week in miami… what an exciting time in SOUTH BEACH!!! Since we are already so close to the water, I decided our next BIG adventure should be to hop on a boat and go sail the seas. Minimalism and basics are such a great trend for the summer and following a little cliche nautical theme will only enhance your outfit on the great seas. simplistic, yet trendy is the only way to style your outfit for the boat.

This great little outfit shows off the “sailor girl” in us while maintaining a simplistic summer look. an American Apparel tank, a statement necklace, Juicy Couture sailor shorts, a pop of color wedge, straw fedora hat, and a pair of Ray Ban shades is a perfect start to our sailing trip. it mixes our couture labels with affordable styles and will look amazing on any body type.

Once on the boat, we must continue to sun and darken our miami tan with Saks Fifth Avenue Clarins Sunscreen. it’s amazing, and adds a slight shimmer to your skin while protecting it from potentially damaging rays. The Marianna G red cut out swimsuit will flatter your figure while the Juicy Couture sarong adds a pop of color, and a hip cover up. Some Target thonged flats add in that affordable piece every look needs. Don’t forget to protect yourself from the sun, with a Kate Spade, trend inspired striped hat and Vera Wang oversized shades for a classier look.

Whether enjoying the waves splashing up against the boat or laying out on the boat deck getting some sun, both looks help create a nautical beach look while maintaining trends, style, and affordability. Have a blast sailing the seas….don’t forget to follow me on twitter @missblackseries to catch up on fashion trends and tips through the week….

until the next time….
