Travel Fashion Guide: Take Me Out to the Ball Game!

When you travel a great way to experience the city is to check out a local sports game and it’s such a great time of year for a baseball game! The weather is amazing, the teams are always looking great, and we will get to wear some fun fashion…This season some of the top couture designers came out with ‘baseball inspired’ pieces to really get into the sport and the season.

Tory Burch’s skinny awning pants inspire a couture baseball themed look. Check out D Squared double wool baseball cap, one of the greatest pieces in the collection. J. Crew mocked a baseball tee with contrasting sleeve colors. Givenchy and IRO Paul created similar baseball jackets (one leather formal, one casual) with contrasting sleeve colors. To finish up an overall baseball theme look, Ash developed a high top, cleat inspired sneaker with buckles and chic leather.

Whether you’re cheering on the Cubs, Yankees, Red Sox, Tigers, or the Braves, make sure at the baseball game you’re sporting your teams colors and merchandise to support your boys. Throwing on a pair of designer, distressed denim shorts and pairing it with my favorite shoe, a Chuck Taylor adds some fashion, as well as, a comfy appeal to your look.

Just remember … take me out to the ball game, take me out to the crowd, buy me some peanuts and cracker jacks, I don’t care if I never get back. Let me root, root, root for the home team, if they don’t win, it’s a shame. For it’s one, two, three strikes you’re out at the old ball game. – Do you have a favorite baseball team?

Out and About

Vintage Magazine Launch Party

Vintage, Chic, and everything Glamorous! The launch party brought out some amazing outfits inspired by the 1940’s and 50’s. The magazine seeks out and features trendsetters who are bringing back classic looks from the 40s and 50s, and pairing these styles with today’s hottest fashion, like the always fabulous Tatyana Khomyakova of Bettie Page Clothing and Mina Deutsch of Mina D Jewelry. Proceeds from the event were donated to – Hope For Javier, which strives to turn HOPE into reality for thousands of boys affected by Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD).

Vodkila Launch Party

Hosted by TR Luxury at one of my new favorite places in the city, EVR – a sleek, sophisticated 2-story lounge near Bryant Park, the Vodkila launch party was a hit! The perfect blend of vodka and tequila, my favorites are original and watermelon.

Spring = Baseball Season

Baseball has become another one of my favorite sports to watch, although I’d much rather watch a game in person rather than on TV. We’ve had some really beautiful, warm spring days in NYC, so I made sure to take advantage of them by supporting both hometown teams.
