March 2nd and 3rd Cycle For Survival took over Manhattan at 3 Equinox gyms
Thousands of riders joined the battle and Team Coast Guard was apart of it all!
Why Does Team Coast Guard Ride?
We cycle because we want to take action, now. Cycle for Survival allows us to help physically and emotionally battle for cancer patients – fighting back against this disease.
We cycle to advance groundbreaking research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering, the preeminent cancer research center in the country. In just the past six years, Cycle has directly funded 53 clinical trials and research studies.
We cycle to provide renewed hope for patients and their loved ones around the world. This year we joined the battle with over 2,600 teams and 13,000 fellow cyclers worldwide to continue the fight.
Why Do I Ride?
I ride for my sister who survived Retinoblastoma and for my best friend who survived Cystic Ovarian CancerI’m thankful for everyday that I get to spend with them.
A few months ago, while in D.C on business, I was introduced to Cycle For Survival during a meeting with the founder of Charity Chicks US – Their mission is to empower our generation to make giving back a top priority by promoting, stimulating, and creating positive change in unique ways. Their team inspired me to join the battle and start my own team in NYC, and I figured the best way to start would be to get my co-workers involved and inspire them to do the same.
I am riding in Cycle for Survival with my co-workers on Team Coast Guard. So what is Cycle for Survival? It is the national, annual, indoor team cycling event that has raised over $17 million in support of lifesaving research on rare cancers at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Cycle’s riders and donors make a tangible impact on rare cancer patients and their loved-ones: 100% of funds raised go directly to MSK, and are allocated within six months of each event. If you want to actively fight cancer, you should join the battle with us!
Why Do I Cycle?
I cycle with pride to honor my loved-ones who battle cancer. Cycle for Survival is a way for me to fight back.
I cycle to advance groundbreaking research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering, the preeminent cancer research center in the country. In just the past six years, Cycle has directly funded 53 clinical trials and research studies.
I cycle with over 13,000 fellow cyclers worldwide. Together we are fighting to provide renewed hope to patients and their loved ones around the world.
How Can You Help?
You can help us by joining the battle and starting your own team, or by making a gift to our Cycle for Survival ride! Remember, within six months of the ride, 100% of every dollar we raise will go directly to Memorial Sloan-Kettering for research on rare cancers.
