Last week, I attended Ante Up of the the Animals at Dippiosenso, located on Manhattan’s Upper East-side. Animal lovers gathered for cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, music by the fabulous DJ Teal, and poker in support of Last Chance for Animals (LCA). Card games are not my forte, but it was fun to watch other people play and to gain some tips from the PokerprimaDivas.
The Star of the night was Jilli Dog! Rick Caran rescued Jilli about 9 years ago and they’ve been inseparable ever since. Jilli played poker and showed us some of her best tricks. She is such a sweet little pup! My favorite trick of her’s is when Rick pretends to sneeze and she runs to get him a Kleenex and brings it back to him – so cute!
The Grand Prize Winner won round trip transportation and entry fee into 2012 WSOP Main Event ($1,000 Value) and the second prize winner won one Poker4Life Ticket for Thursday March 29, 2012 Poker Charity Event ($250 Value) for an opportunity to win a seat at the 2012 WSOP Main Event.
