Off To A Busy Start

September has proven to be a very busy month for me between work, sleep, events, and fashion week the past week or so has been a bit of a blur.

I kicked off Fashion Week by shopping, drinking champagne, and getting my nails done at the “My Glamorous Girlfriends” campaign launch presented by My Girlfriend’s Closet Boutique.

In 2010 Saffiyah Rogers and Valerie Morrison launched My Girlfriend’s Closet Boutique. Their cyber retail store provides ensembles that represent every woman’s secret desire to wear contemporary yet trendy fashions from her girlfriend’s closet. Whether it’s those three-inch pumps that little black dress, designer handbag, or fashionable jewelry: there is no need to desire any longer.  My Girlfriend’s Closet Boutique fulfills those desires with its New Jersey based online boutique.  Log on today to learn more about My Girlfriend’s Closet Boutique www.gfcboutique.com.

Then hit the streets of 5th Avenue and Soho for Fashion’s Night Out. This was my first FNO experience and I have a fab time out with the girls. I got a facial and my make-up done at Origins and my bf arranged for a car to drive the girls and I around city. The first stop was Henri Bendel where we shopped, sipped prosecco courtesy of Cupcake Vineyards, nibbled on chocolate covered pretzels, and ate tequila flavored ice cream. Then it was off to Soho for stops at Steve Madden, H&M, and local boutiques before ending the night with a glass of wine and dinner at B&B Wine Pub.

Did you attend Fashion’s Night Out in your city? How did it go?

Talk to you soon!

It’s Fashions Night Out in NYC!

Today is the 3rd annual Fashions Night Out held in NYC and its going to be bigger and better than previous years. American Vogue, the Council of Fashion Designers of America, NYC & Company and the City of New York created Fashion’s Night Out in 2009 to celebrate fashion, restore consumer confidence, boost the industry’s economy and put the fun back in shopping. Proceeds from sales of official FNO gear will benefit the New York Community Trust’s New York City AIDS Fund.

Store hours will be from 6-11pm.

Celebrities will be performing and designers will be mingling with shoppers all over NYC! Check out the link about for more information on store locations and events being held.

I have tickets to see Wicked tonight, but if I get to the city early enough I can probably stop by an event or two before heading to the show. Let’s hope the rain stays away for a bit while we shop, but pack your umbrella just in case.

Where do you plan to shop for Fashions Night Out?
