Tis’ the Season to Ice Skate!

Ice Skating is synonymous to NYC, and the first rink to kick off the season is opening this weekend, The Rink @ Rockefeller Center! This ice skating rink has become the quintessential NYC winter experience for New Yorkers and Tourists. The Ice Skating Rink first opened on Christmas Day in 1936 and can accomdate 150 skaters at one time. I prefer to go during the pre-holiday for lunchtime skating because it’s cheaper, it’s warmer outside, and it’s not nearly as crowded as it is during the holiday season.

Pre-Holiday Hours and Rates (October 15th – November 2rd)

Hours of Operation:

  • Mon-Thurs 9am – 10:30pm
  • Fri-Sat 8:30am – Midnight
  • Sun 8:30am – 10pm

Lunchtime Skating: Mon-Thurs 11:30am – 1pm for $6

Skate Rental: $8

Rates:

  • Adults: Mon-Thurs $10, Fri-Sun and Holidays $14
  • Children (11 and under) and Seniors: Mon-Thurs $8, Fri-Sun and Holidays $8.50
