Visit the Sony Wonder Technology Lab

The Sony Wonder Technology Lab is a free technology and entertainment museum for all ages located in mid-town Manhattan on Madison Avenue. Explore exhibits on how devices work, nanotechnology, virtual surgery, animation studio, a robot zone, and more!

Admission to the museum is free, but tickets are required for entry. Due to popularity reservations are highly encouraged and can be made a minimum of 7 days in advance and a maximum of 3 months in advance. Same day admission tickets are available for walk-up visitors, but are limited in number and distributed on a first come, first served basis beginning at 9:30am. To make a reservation call 212-833-8100 between the hours of 9am and 2pm Tuesday – Friday.

Every Saturday afternoon at 2pm a movie is shown for free in the 73-seat HD Theater. Reservations can be made beginning on the Monday of the week in which the screening is scheduled by calling (212) 833-8100. Any remaining tickets will be distributed 30 minutes prior to the start of the screening on a first come, first served basis. Friday

Friday Night Poetry Slam at the Nuyorican Poets Cafe – every Friday night at 10pm. Get there early (the line is always long) and pay $10 at the door, or check out their website and purchase a premium ticket for $20 to guarantee a seat near the stage.

K2 Friday Nights at the Rubin Museum of Art – From 6pm – 10pm enjoy free admission to the museum, films, gallery tours, live music, and artist talks.

Saturday

Visit the Sony Wonder Tech Lab and see a movie for free! – Today’s featured screening is “This Christmas” at 2pm.

Levy’s Vintage Tea and Swing Dance Party Aboard A Vintage Subway Train! – get dressed up in clothes that take you back to the 1920’s and getting ready for swing dancing! The music starts at noon and the train leaves at 12:57pm. Then, at 2pm the the tea party begins and tea and cookies will be served! (Bring your own tea cup)

The Beatles Hidden Gallery @ Carnegie Hall – see over 30 recently discovered and candid images of the group taken is 1963 and 1964. Admission is free, but tickets are required. Public viewing is available from 10:30am to 12:30pm and the box office opens at 10:00am to hand out tickets. This is the last day for this event! Carnegie Hall is located at 154 W 57th Street and Seventh Ave.
