Travel Fashion Guide: Hellooo Gentlemen

Hey travelers, fashionistas :)

How did everyone’s vacations go this week with your 10 must have items? I hope it went great and you looked fabulous…

I decided to do something new and different this week… as a girl, I focus a lot on women’s fashion, however, men travel too, so this week I wanted us to take a look at men’s travel outfits to give the men out there some fashion tips

You guys typically pack light when it comes to travel…but 2 outfits that are necessary on any vacation are a casual outfit to tour with during the day and a dressier outfit for your night life experience.

Casual for you can be so much and so simple. A dark, straight leg designer denim is a comfortable and trendy way to look fashionable on vacation. It creates a clean look that’s easy to move in. Adding a band t-shirt to the mix, gives a punk look and layering it with a patterned button up over it adds a slight edge of fashion and a preppy, contrast to the outfit. As all of you know for women I am OBSESSED with a Converse Chucky Taylor, and they are a perfect shoe for men as well…top the look off with our designer accent piece and grab a great pair of shades to really show off the overall look.

Your dress up outfit can be perfect for whether you are going out to a nice restaurant or out for a night on the town. It’s simple, yet chic. Start with again, a designer dark, straight leg denim…classy and simple. Pair that with a Ralph Lauren button up shirt (a slight pop of color will definitely work great here). Layer that with a dark blazer (featured COMME DES GARCONS designer blazer for an accent of designer chic). This keeps the look dressier, but still maintains a trendy look that’s not a full fledge suit.  A Calvin Klein box toe, patent dress shoe gives the blazer a fancier buddy, but still maintains a trendy look to offset the denim. To create a stylish look, top the outfit off with a dark colored fedora and you’ve got a sexy look that will bring all the girls around :)

Travel Fashion Guide: Top 10 Travel Must Haves

Between AGT and I, we have so many upcoming trips planned and we have always have our “go to” items that never get left behind. As you pack your bags for the trips you are headed on what are fashion must haves on any trip? Here’s our list :)

1. Chucks

My old faithful. a must have on any trip converse chuck Taylor’s. the ultimate fashion shoe. comfy, perfect for lots of walking, looks great with any outfit, and perfect for all seasons.

2. Fedora

Fedoras are a perfect travel accessory. During the summer they are a great way to block the sun and during the winter a great way to keep your head warm, and you’ll always look fabulous and chic :)

3. Sunglasses

Always a must have. Sunglasses are something that is necessary all day, every day….especially when traveling.

4. Bathing Suit

No matter where you are or what you’ve got planned during your travels you can ALWAYS use a swimsuit. Hot tubbing at the ski lodge, water fight on the side of the road during a road trip, or vacationing to the beach. You will always need to have a bathing suit “on call” :)

5. LBD

A must have piece to take everywhere with you is your little black dress. During your travels and on vacation you always want to be prepared for a fancier gathering or a nice dinner out, and your little black dress will be the perfect fit.

6. Statement Necklace

Packing jewelry for every outfit you take on a vacation can be excessive but one neutral statement necklace will do the trick. It will match everything you take for the trip while still maintaining room in your bag to pack other things.

7. Black Pumps

Like your little black dress, a pair of black pumps are are another must have. A classic, simple, black pump is another item which you always need when you least expect it because it can work with any outfit, in any situation.

8. Dark skinny denim

A simple pair of dark skinny jeans are a great way to pack light and yet have a look that can be made casual or dressed up with your black pumps. They can be worn more than once on your trip, therefore leaving lots of room in your suitcase.

9. Cross-body

The one and only purse you ever need to take on vacation…a fashionable cross-body. Your money, identification, all important necessities wrapped closely next to you and looking great is a MUST on your next trip.

10. Jacket

A jacket is essential when leaving for a long period of time. the weather is always so unpredictable. one general jacket is all you need. from a leather jacket to a blazer or even a light trench…any of these would be a great fit for those unpredictable weather days and still stylish enough to spruce up any outfit

Yay!! we’ve got everything essential we need on any trip. wherever you go, you’ll be ready for anything that comes up while still packing light. just bring these top 10 items and a camera to catch all the action.

Travel Fashion Guide: Jet-setting to Oregon

Hey travelers and fashionistas!

How does everyone feel after their weekly workout? Stronger and sexier by the minute, I’m sure….

Well, this week, AGT is travelling to Oregon to visit friends, run a half marathon, explore, and spend some time in wine country… and of course I had to help her pick out some key, fashion forward, outfits for her journey.

Two BIG things AGT needs for her trip:  1) a casual, but still fashion forward outfit, to travel around, during the day, and still be comfortable  2) a wine country outfit for those amazing wine tastings she is going to attend.

Nothing screams comfort and fashionable like my old faithful, a colored (yellow) Converse Chuck Taylor J she’s going to be able to walk all over and still look so cute in a pop of color shoe. The new Rag & Bone distressed cropped boyfriend jeans are a perfect, slouchy, relaxed denim…able to move, and yet still be in style. Next, let’s pair the jeans with the affordable, west coast inspired, California Tee from Topshop. Finally, adding a straw fedora and a cute pair of vintage sunglasses are the perfect combination of comfort, accessories, and fashion for a day of touring down the Oregon Trail J

Nothing is more elegant, sexy, or fashion forward then a little white dress at a wine party.  Alice & Olivia’s “Florence” dress is a boho, chic, white peasant dress that is the perfect base piece for a wine tasting… just don’t spill J To stick with my love for spikes, and an edgier piece in every outfit, Juicy Couture’s “Spike Drama Necklace” adds the pop of gold and silver colors to the white dress. It will fall perfectly above the neckline of the dress and be a great way to pull the whole outfit together. A gold Nine West strappy heel will definitely bring out the gold in the necklace and add to the pops of color throughout the outfit. Pairing the outfit with a matching gold Michael Kors clutch is the perfect finish to a divine, wine tasting outfit.
